About Yamada

Naomichi Yamada (also known as Geromichi) was a kouhai of Makunouchi Ippo. He became a Kamogawa boxer for a while before moving on to Aomori, but he continued with the hope of boxing to overcome his senpai.

Yamada got his nickname Geromichi (Vomitichi) when Mamoru Takamura saw Ippo throw his shirt off after running the normal course of running on his first day at the gym. Geromichi came from the Japanese word "Gero", meaning "Vomit", and from Naomichi his name got "Michi". Michi "means" way ", so it explains the nickname that Takamura put" Vomita Camino ".

Before leaving the Kamogawa gym, Ippo, Takamura, Kimura and Aoki are planning a Kamogawa-style farewell party. On the day of his retirement Ippo, Takamura, Aoki and Kimura make a small sparring to finish his farewell, the sparring begins Takamura followed by Aoki, third Kimura and finally Ippo who bounces him with a blow to the Liver. After two years, he returned to Tokyo to be the challenger for Ippo (the current Japanese Feather Champion) but with a very changed character, no eyebrows and totally shaved, and he also had the nickname "Hammer Nao". > Techniques Fights
