Movement, Sport and Society (BSM) is a subject on Secondary Education, re-introduced in the new Second Phase from school year 2007-2008. Previously it was known under the name LO2 that schools have given since 1999. The box is available in each profile on the havo / vwo as an optional subject. In 2007, 68 schools offered the opportunity to choose this subject.

BSM focuses not only on physical qualities but also on tactical insight and social aspects. The lessons are also discussed during the lessons. So where Physical Education stops, BSM continues. The level of BSM is on average higher than the LO classes. As a result, BSM is generally chosen only by students with good physical fitness and / or ambitions in sport.

Schools themselves set up their program, so the given components may differ. However, there must be a BSM exam and therefore count it for the degree.
