José León Tapia


José León Tapia (Barinas, Venezuela, February 18, 1928 - December 13, 2007) graduated as a surgeon in 1952 at the Central University of Venezuela, a profession he taught at the University of the Andes. in its extension of Barinas. He wrote among others: Maisanta, the last man on horseback and here passed Zamora, winner of the National Prize for Literature in 2004, which he rejected to avoid linking his work with political proselytism. Represented Barinas state in the National Constituent Assembly promulgated in 1999, convened by President Hugo Chávez to draft a new constitution. Work
