Paranoid personality disorder

The paranoid personality disorder is a personality disorder diagnosed by a psychiatrist or psychologist with paranoid characteristics. The term paranoid does not refer to far-reaching desires or psychoses, but to persistent and unfounded distrust in humans. Because of this distrust, friends, acquaintances and colleagues are approached with a certain degree of distantness, and the contacts are only a bit more warm when they find that they do not have any bad addictions. Often, however, the PPS sufferer remains cautious and can respond responsibly to a trifle (for example a joke) that is interpreted as a personal attack. If the person is actually treated or erased, the anger may take years for years and may call for revenge.

Paranoid personalities often also mistrust their life partners. On this basis, the partner's activities are more closely monitored and the PPS may sometimes make themselves strict or even dictatorial.

In some cases, the distrust focuses on populations, authorities or governments. This can lead to prejudices or long-term conflicts that, according to the environment, only concern small things. This is called Querulant's (although there is no real madness in this case).
