The National Raion shapsug (Russian, Шапсугский национальный район) was an administrative division of the Soviet Socialist Soviet Republic of Russia in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, which was located within the borders of Krasnodar krai (1925- 1934, Krai of the North Caucasus, 1934-1937, Krai of Azov-Black Sea) and that existed between 1924 and 1945. The national raion was established, with center in Tuapsé, 6 of September of 1924 in the territory of the Black Sea ókrug of the Oblast of Kubán-Black Sea, in an area populated mainly by about 3 400 people of ethnic shapsug . At the beginning of 1925 was composed of four selsoviets: Karpovski, Kichmai, Krasno-Aleksandrovski and Pseushjo, in an extension of 462 km ². In 1930 moved its center to the aul Vtorói Krasnoaleksandrovski and in 1931 to Sovet-Kvadzhe. In 1934 the raion comprised eight selsoviets: Kamir-Astovski, Karpovski, Kichmaiski, Krasno-Aleksandrovski, Lazarevski, Psebinski, Pseushjovski and Sovet-Kvadzhe. Towards the end of the decade of 1930 the national denomination is no longer used, using Shapshugski raion instead. In 1941 were seven selsoviets: Kamir-Astovski, Kichmaiski, Krasno-Aleksandrovski, Lazarevski, Makopsinski, Marianski and Pseushjovski. The 27 of May of 1945 was renamed raion of Lázarevskoye.
