Raymond Legueult


Raymond Legueult (París, 1898 - 1971).

Biography

A French painter who studied at the National School of Decorative Arts and completed his training in Spain. It was unveiled at the Salon of the Society of Fine Arts in 1923.

His painting, essentially colorist, follows the line of Henri Matisse and Pierre Bounard. Legueult belongs to the group of painters called "of poetic reality".

Between sus cuadros destacan: Figure with the rose, The Bilboquet, Landscape with Val-Suzon, Solitude, Landscape Franche-Comte, Asleep, etc.

In collaboration with Maurice Brianchon he made sets for the opera: Grisélidis (1925), Naisance de la Lyre (1928), etc. He is also the author of murals (Printemps, 1937) and Upholstery boards (Atelier, 1941).
