The Salt Lake Valley is a 1,300-kilometer valley in Salt Lake County, Utah, USA. The valley, located southeast of Great Salt Lake, is bordered by the Wasatch Range to the east, the Oquirrh Mountains to the west and the Traverse Mountains to the south.

It encompasses the city of Salt Lake City and many of its suburbs including West Valley City, Murray, Sandy and West Jordan. Its total population was 948,172 in 2005.
