The Sullivan brothers were five brothers who died in the same incident of World War II, the sinking of the light cruiser USS Juneau, in which they all served.

The brothers were originally from Waterloo, Iowa. Their name and age are listed below:

They enlisted on January 3, 1942, requesting to serve together. The US Navy had the rule of separating the brothers to prevent them from dying in the same attack, but it was not always fulfilled. The two older brothers had already served in the Navy.

On November 13, 1942, Juneau was hit by a torpedo and had to leave the area of Guadalcanal where it was highlighted. After retiring, it was again reached, this time by a torpedo of the Japanese submarine I-26. The ship sank quickly, and due to Japanese rule over the area, the survivors were not rescued until eight days later. The 10 survivors reported that Frank, Joe and Matt died instantly in the attack, Al drowned the next day, and George died of deprivation four days later.
