Aguas Andinas

Aguas Andinas is a Chilean health services company, which supplies potable water and sewerage in the city of Santiago de Chile, with the exception of all the municipalities of Maipú and Cerrillos; 1% of San Bernardo, and a part of Central Station, which are supplied by SMAPA (Municipal Service of Potable Water and Sewerage of Maipú). It is one of the largest sanitary companies in Latin America, serving more than 6 million customers and with a total of more than 70,000 hectares of concession. It is controlled by the Spanish Agbar Group, which also controls Aguas Cordillera and Aguas Manquehue.

It was created as EMOS (Metropolitan Sanitation Works) in 1977, initially operating as an autonomous company operating under the supervision of the National Service of Sanitary Works (SENDOS).

Aguas Andinas are part of PROhumana RED, a business network created in 2006 to give visibility to the different initiatives, practices, projects and management models in CSR. The year 2014 participated in the Ranking of Business Sustainability PROhumana.
