Norman was a British brand of motorcycles, built-in engines and autocycles.

Norman Cycles Ltd., Ashford, Kent, later Raleigh Industries Ltd., Nottingham (1937-1961).

The English brand Norman initially came on the market with 98 cc models, and started building Rudge-98 cc Autocycles since 1939.

From 1946 to 1954, bicycles were built with 98, 122 and 197 Villiers auxiliaries. The Norman TS motorcycle received a 242cc British Anzani Unitwin two-stroke engine from 1954 to 1958.

In the late fifties, Norman bought the remains of the Achilles brand in Wilhelmshafen-Langewerth. For motorcycle production, 98- to 248 cc Villiers two-stroke engines were used.

In some countries, a 198 cc model under the brand name Rambler was available. This name was used for export only. Norman also delivered built-in engines to other brands.

In 1961 the brand was bought by the Raleigh Group.
