LACATRE is an abbreviation for Real-Time Application Design Language. It is a graphical language for the design of multitasking and real-time computer programs. This language is designed to represent the interactions of a task with different means of communication (IPC) in a simple way allowing a first draft in design while approaching a lot of the final code. There are also applications that translate the LACATRE formalism into C code (especially for VxWorks).
