The National Union of Catholic Teachers (SYNECAT) is a union of professionals teaching the circuit of Catholic schools in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its secretary general is Jean-Bosco Puna (September 2005).

This union is responsible for the September 2005 strikes in education with SYECO against the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education, after the end of parents 'contributions to teachers' salaries. This strike claims the payment of salaries in July 2005 and the government's implementation of the third tier of the Mbudi agreement. This strike was emulated with the strike of the public administration.
