José María Granados


José María Granados Serratosa (Ronda, Málaga, December 19, 1957) is a Spanish singer and composer. Biography

Installed in Madrid being still very young, he became one of the most outstanding representatives of the movement known as Movida madrileña.En 1978-79 formed the duo Moscatel very influenced by the first album of Veneno. In 1980 he formed and led the pop band Mamá, with which he composes two of the most popular songs of the moment: Chicas de colegio and Nada Más

After the dissolution of the group in 1983, he went through other bands like Restos, Frenillos, Buenas Vibraciones or La banda del otro lado, until he debuted in 2002 as a soloist, editing the LP He sounds like this, to those who would follow Here is not (2004), Science fiction (2005) In Madrid (2007) and the compilation Save me a site.

In 2009 he meets again with Mama, carrying out a live tour throughout Spain and editing five new albums, La mejor Canción (2009), Sólo por Hoy (2011), Segundo asalto (2012), No credit (2013) and Standard (2015). His latest compositions are recorded in the band's recent album Toque de queda (2017).

During his career, he also did a composition work for many other groups such as Secrets, Dangerous Friendships or Apart Modesty.
