The Peel de Veluwe is a part of the National Park De Groote Peel in the municipality of Asten.
It is a northern part of the Groote Peel, within the municipality of Asten. The oldest maps show that it was about the southernmost area within the municipality of Asten, set against the northerner peel Peel eternal life. Later, with the Peel de Veluwe indicated as an area north of the vein farm of Griendtsveen society. Whatever the name, the north of the Groote Peel has retained an important part of an old road structure, insofar as it was not part of this feathering.
The name of the area is an old, bent form of the word "vaal" or "veel" in the meaning "gray" and refers to the occurrence of the vale turf or grave that was not suitable for house fire but for turf litter.
