World traveler

A world traveler (English: Globetrotter) is someone who makes a trip around the world either from personal initiative or group. As a first world traveler, Ferdinand Magellaan is seen, although he died before returning. From his company, Juan Sebastián Elcano and the crew of Victoria's ship were the first to make a world trip.

The well-known world traveler is the character Phileas Fogg in the book The Tour of the World in Eighty Days (1873) by French writer Jules Verne.

Modern world travelers, in some cases, use a Round-the-World ticket to make a whole trip around the world because different parts of the journey have taken place. Famous World Travelers
