Anti-tank mine

PZ Mi anti-tank mine DM 11 sectioned.

An anti-tank mine or anti-vehicle mine is a less sensitive mine with a higher explosive charge than usual to destroy armored vehicles, such as a battle tank. It was first used on a large scale in World War II.

Anti-tank mines require a pressure of over 150 kilograms for detonation, so they are activated by cars, tanks and motorcycles, but are harmless to humans and animals.

This type of mine is allowed by Ottawa Treaty.

Normally, the installation of mines is done by distributing anti-tank mines and anti-personnel mines in the same field, so that they are more difficult to locate and eliminate.
