Beach of Santa Barbara

Santa Bárbara Beach is a beach in the Spanish town of La Línea de la Concepción. This beach located on the Mediterranean coast of the city of La Linea, is about 700 meters long and about 40 meters wide. It is a busy beach bounded by the seafront of the city and borders the south with the border with Gibraltar (where, after the airport runway is Eastern Beach) and north with the Levante beach. In its surroundings are the remains of the Fort of Santa Barbara, a building that was part of the Gibraltar Anti-invasion Line, an old fortification that participated in the Great Siege of Gibraltar in 1779. It has all the basic services required for an urban beach, daily garbage collection in bathing season, toilets, showers and access for the disabled as well as the presence of rescue equipment and local police.
