The mobility factor is both a standard and a key figure in the IT industry for evaluating the mobile performance metrics of laptops. Three indicators are particularly important for business users and business travelers: autonomy, weight and robustness.

The simple mobility factor relates the autonomy of a laptop computer and its weight in kilograms (including accumulators). The enlarged mobility factor is obtained by multiplying the quotient (range / weight in kg) by the resistance of the laptop to the pressure (kgf). These indicators make it possible to make a transparent comparison between the different models of a category of laptops.

The mobility factor takes the high values of the different parameters into the background.
