Javier Benjumea Llorente


Javier Benjumea Llorente (Sevilla), second marques de Puebla de Cazalla, Spanish businessman.

Son of Javier Benjumea Puigcerver founder of Abengoa; and also brother of Felipe Benjumea Llorente, current president of Abengoa.

He is a PhD in economics and a master in business administration.

He is an alternate member of the Board of Directors of Telefónica de Argentina Inc, a member of the Charity Foundation of the Prince of Asturias, and vice president of Compañía Sevillana Endesa.

He is president of the Board of Trustees of the Professional Schools of the Holy Family (SAFA).

In 1991 he took up the position of vice president of Abengoa, resigning in 2007. In this way, his brother Felipe Benjumea Llorente took over the power being the president.
