Peter Testa is an American architect. He is associated during his student days at the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) with the architect Devyn Weiser to create the Emergent Design Group (EDG) studio based in Los Angeles. He writes about Álvaro Siza Vieira with whom he collaborates in the Cabinet of Works and Proiects, inspired by the ideas of the Dutch physicist on the lightness of structures, Adriaan Beukers, designed the Carbon Skycraper (called carbon skyscraper in English) designed in the Year 2001. Building that, in spite of not being built, has provided alternative ideas about how to build the future skyscrapers of the 21st century. Its twisted-looking carbon fiber and resin structure inspires the use of innovative shapes and materials.
