August Kuentzmann Damm (Selestat, Alsace-Barcelona, 1877), was an Alsatian born in Selestat, exiled to Spain after the Franco-Prussian war that establishes the first brewing facilities of what will later be the company S.A. Damm.
Little is known about the biography of August Kuentzmann Damm before the year 1870 when they settled in the city of Barcelona with his wife Melanie and his cousin and teacher, Joseph Damm, doing that 6 years later, in 1876, the brewery that bears his last name is founded. A year after founding the factory, he died in Barcelona in 1877.
