Dubai Zoo

The Dubai Zoo (Arabic: حديقة حيوان دبي) is a 1.5 hectare (3.7 acre) zoo, located in the emirate of Dubai, one of the 7 that make up the United Arab Emirates. The park was established in 1967 by Sheikh Rashid al Maktoum bin, a former Ruler of Dubai, who allowed Otto J. Bulart to build a zoo on a two-hectare plot in Jumeirah, the oldest zoo in the Arabian Peninsula. . It was considered a landmark in Dubai at the end of 1960, since it indicated the "end of the city".

In 1971, the management of the Dubai Zoo was taken over by the Municipality of Dubai.
