Cuello proconsular

Proconsular neck, is a swelling or swelling that comes from the boundary of the neck with the jaw. It is due to an adenitis (inflammation of the ganglia) submaxillary with panniculitis (inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue of the jaw) of infectious etiology, generally described in diphtheria and tuberculosis although it can be caused by any bacteria. It is a very painful abnormality and in vulgar terms, it gives an inflamed and edematous chin.

It is named for allusion to the excessively bulky neck of the bust of Proconsul Vitellius.
