Melgund Castle (English: Melgund Castle) is a restored 16th century house still used today as a private residence and located about 2 km east of Aberlem in Angus, Scotland, United Kingdom .

The castle was built in 1543 by Cardinal David Beaton as home to him and his mistress, Margaret Ogilvie. Much later it happened by marriage to the counts of Minto, to which they were granted the title of Viscount of Melgund, that after a little time was used by the heir of the county.

The building is L-shaped and probably took its style from the fortified houses of the fifteenth century. Archaeological research has been carried out between 1990 and 1996. The castle remained a long time in semi-silent state and it lacked the roof, until it was restored.
