Plaza 66


Plaza 66 is a skyscraper in Shanghai and is the tallest building in the Puxi district.

It consists of two office towers and a shopping center. It is located at 1266 Nanjing West Road. The height of the building is 288 meters (945 feet) and it has 66 floors. Work on the first tower was completed in 2001. The shortest tower, called Plaza 66 Tower 2, was completed in 2007.

The project was developed by Hang Lung Properties of Hong Kong led by Ronnie Chan. The buildings were designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) architects of New York. The lead designer for KPF was James Von Klemperer and the director responsible for the project was Paul Katz. The building has one third more votes in the 2001 Emporis Skyscraper Selection Award. On the lower floors, it has one of the most exclusive Shopping Centers in China, such as Hermes, Prada, Dior, Versace and many other prestigious international luxury brands.
