Famo is a German historical brand of motorcycles.

The company name was: Ernst Burckhardt GmbH, Munich.

Famo was one of the hundreds of German brands that began in 1923, during the "Motorboom" of World War I, with the production of motorcycles. There was a demand for light cheap vehicles in post-war Germany, but the competition of so many companies was huge. In 1925, more than 150 of these brands disappeared, but Famo produced its simple 127cc two-stroke engines until 1926.
