Hermitage of the Christ of Providence (Anna)


The chapel of the Christ of Providence located in the municipality of Anna (Province of Valencia, Spain), was built in the mid-eighteenth century and is one of the most beautiful in the Valencian Community.

This is a cruciform plant construction, crowned with dome. The main facade is neoclassical and the side has a typical Valencian solar clock and some verses dedicated to the Christ.

At the foot of the Ermita El Calvario was built with popular donations.

Two embossed pieces of copper with great pathos and two paintings inspired by works by Raphael and Rubens and the image of the Holy Christ, which was acquired and brought to the Parish of Anna by the religious Fray Luciano Iago Francés, were placed. principle in the Main Altar of this Parish, in 1702. It is currently in the Hermitage and is called the Most Holy Christ of Providence.
