The UCI U-23 Nations Cup is a cycling competition that brings together the best professional careers, limited to runners under 23 years old. It was created in 2007 by the UCI, when it began to officially regulate professional careers with limited age, to enhance some of them.

Parallel to the races adhered to this competition also score for the UCI Continental Circuits having the consideration of category races .2 (last category of professionalism), although with the indication of ".Ncup" to indicate such circumstance (the rest that they have limitation to sub-23 runners are indicated with a "U" at the end of the category) through their own score, while for this competition only is scored by countries with their own rating scale.

It is disputed by selections, being able to participate both national and mixed selections (with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 runners). Mixed selections can be entirely from one country.

In 2016, after the creation of the UCI World Ranking that recovered the old UCI Ranking, there was a complete restructuring in the scoring scales, granting more points to the first 10 runners in the categories 1.2U, 2.2U, Ncup and the top 20 in the Tour de l'Avenir race, especially, this race has a category of points different from the others.
