Beatriz de Aguilar


Beatriz de Aguilar, known as Mother Beatriz de Aguilar, was a Spanish nun, who wrote poetry in the XVI-XVII century. There is very little information about her life, and her work is known to have composed titled: "Romances / composed by Mother Beatriz de Aguilar, in gratitude of some mercedes indicated, that God made to him". These are six leaves without foliation in fourth. They were published by Father Agustín Quirós, belonging to the Society of Jesus, and the original publication was made at the house of Francisco de Cea, 1610. This publication consists of an introduction by Father Agustín Quirós, confessor of the author. a copy of the work in the Provincial Library of Granada.
