The Central Library of Taiwan (in Chinese: 國家 圖書館) is located as its name indicates in the island of Taiwan specifically in the district of Zhongzheng, in the city of Taipei. The Central National Library is the only national library in Taiwan. Its mission is to acquire, catalog and preserve national government publications, research and use of materials by the general public. The library also supports research, sponsors educational activities, promotes library science, conducts international exchange activities, and strengthens cooperation between national and foreign libraries.
