Chell

Chell is a British historical brand of motorcycles that never came to fruition.

The company name was: Chell Motor Company Limited, Moorfield Road, Wolverhampton.

Chell began in 1939 with the production of light motorcycles with 98 and 123 cc-Villiers built-in engines. Because of the outbreak of World War II, it never came to large numbers, because production had to be discontinued in the same year. Remarkably, Chell used to use frames, although this was not required for all Villiers blocks. The machines had electric lights, a toolbox and a tire pump. As an option, a Smiths speedometer could be mounted.
