The high school quiz and Europe was created in 2005 by four regions of the European Union: Rhineland-Palatinate, Burgundy, Central Bohemia and Opole Voivodeship.
Every year since 2005, this competition offers students in all four regions a quiz with 20 to 40 general knowledge questions about these regions, then three questions for groups that reach the highest scores. The winners of these four regions win a trip to Brussels and the latter a trip to Strasbourg. During their trip, the Burgundy winners meet Czechs, Poles and Germans and get acquainted with the European institutions: regional hotel, European Parliament, guided tour of the historic center of Brussels.
