Leonie Aviat or Sr. Leonie Francisca de Sales Aviat (September 16, 1844 - January 10, 1914) is a French nun, founder of the Congregation of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Biography
He was born in Sézanne, in Champagne-Ardennes, on September 16, 1844. He studied with the Religious of the Visitation of Troyes. The textile factories employed young women from the rural area. Pope Pius II approved the Constitutions in 1911. Leonia Aviat, who took the name of Sister Francisca de Sales in religion, is the first general superior.
