Archias was a tyrant of Thebes imposed by the Spartans. In 378, having received in the midst of a feast a letter informing him of Pelopidas' plot, he differed from reading it, saying, "To-morrow serious business." But he was slaughtered the same night by the conspirators. Sourcemode the code
