It was written and produced by the band as a whole, and included is their sixth studio album, Neighborhoods, 2011. On August 4, 2011, Mark Hoppus revealed through his Google+ account, a website titled www.heartsallgone.com. The page had a white background with the logo of the band used since 2003 in the center. The title of the page said "Command A" which in PC would be "Ctrl + A". Pressing this combination of buttons revealed not only the lyrics but also the possibility of listening to a song from the new album called "Heart's All Gone". Critics and fans claim that "Heart's All Gone" has a sound related to one of the band's previous albums; 1997 Dude Ranch. Music video
