Horacio Juan Seguí, born in San Nicolás de los Arroyos on June 24, 1944, raised and trained in Firmat, Province of Santa Fe, is a former basketball player and professional coach since 1970, graduated as National Professor of Education Physics since 1965 at the INEF of San Fernando. Former president of the Commission of Professional Trainers, from 1997 to 2003, and is currently a Director of the Commission of Professional Trainers. It is also recognized his contribution, along with Leon Najnudel and José María Cavallero, as a mentor of the National Basketball League. As a coach Horacio Seguí has a long career in clubs of the National Basketball League, he went through Echagüe de Paraná (1985-86), Peñarol from Mar del Plata (1987-88), Boca Juniors (champion Liga B '88) , Ferro Carril Oeste, Olimpia de Venado Tuerto, Quilmes de Mar del Plata, Atenas de Córdoba and Obras Sanitarias. He led Olympia to the 1995-96 National Basketball League title (he was elected Coach of the Year for the LNB) and the South American Club League '96; and Athens to the National League championship 01-02.
