Kansai Ki-In

The Kansai Go-Kansai, ie Kansai Go Association, is a go-go organizer in Japan founded by Hashimoto Utaro in 1950. Although not as big as its main rival, the Nihon Ki- In, it also issues diplomas to strong players and oversees professionals just like the NHK.

World War II created great difficulties to travel between Osaka and Tokyo to go to the events of the Nihon Ki-In. The NHK created a western section, but when a dispute over the title of Honinbo arose in 1950, this section declared its independence.
