Max Bravo


Maximo Bravo was a Mexican military insurgent who fought during the Independence of Mexico. He was born in Chilpancingo, Guerrero. Like his brother Leonardo Bravo, Máximo joined the insurgent movement in order to achieve the independence of Spain.

Trajectory

It was under the direct orders of José María Morelos. He escorted the Congress of Chilpancingo when its members moved to Tehuacán, participated in the confrontation of Battle of Tezmalaca. In 1819, he joined the ranks of Vicente Guerrero, with whom he finally managed to observe the triumph of the independence movement. It is said that he turned his back on Agustín de Iturbide, because he did not agree with its principles. He died in Chichihualco, Guerrero in 1838. Family

He was the brother of Leonardo, Miguel, Victor and Casimiro. He was Nicholas's nephew, brother-in-law of Gertrudis Rueda and was the husband of Gertrudis Villaso and had a child with her called Calixto. Bibliography
