Operation Damocles is a secret campaign conducted by the Israeli Mossad in August 1962; it targeted German scientists and technicians, formerly employed in the rocket program of Nazi Germany, who were developing rockets for Egypt on a military site designated in English as Factory 333. According to Otto Joklik , an Austrian scientist involved in the project, was developing rockets programmed to use radioactive waste.

The main tactics were parcel bombs and kidnappings. In March 1963, Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion demanded the resignation of Isser Harel, then leader of the Mossad, and the operation ended. However, coupled with diplomatic pressure, she led German scientists to leave Egypt at the end of 1963. Sourceschange the code
