The Footsbarn Theater or Footsbarn Traveling Theater is a theater troupe known in particular for adaptations of great theater classics, including Shakespeare and Molière. History edit code

The Footsbarn Theater was founded in 1971 in Cornwall (Great Britain). The shows were then played in a barn ("barn" in English) belonging to the Foot family, hence the name of the troupe.

After leaving Britain, the company eventually bought an old farm in France at a place called La Chaussée in the town of Maillet (department of Allier). This place is still in 2013 their base, the troupe playing throughout the year throughout France or Great Britain but also in Ireland, Portugal and India. Notes and edit the code edit code
