Gesher's


Kehilat Gesher is a liberal Jewish community located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and in the 17 arrondissement of Paris.

Rabbi Tom Cohen, an American citizen, is the creator of this Franco-English speaking Jewish community.

Kehilat Gesher was founded in 1993 and has about 145 families.

Tom Cohen is the husband of Pauline Bebe, the first female rabbi in France, who created the Jewish Liberal Community of Ile-de-France (CJL). CJL and Kehilat Gesher belong to the Federation of French-Speaking Judaism.

Kehilat Gesher is one of the few synagogues in the world where prayer books are in three languages, Hebrew, French and English.

In Saint-Germain-en-Laye, its French-English offices make it one of the places where Brits and Americans meet, as well as Anglicans at the nearby Anglican Church of Maisons-Laffitte Notes and edit the code edit code
