Girl Thing was a British girl group consisting of British Jodi Albert, Linzi Martin, Michelle Barbe and Nikki Stuart and the Dutch Anika Bostelaar. The group was founded in 1998 and lasted until 2001. The intention was to take on the success of large similar girls groups like the Spice Girls, but that popularity did not achieve Girl Thing.
The group gained the most familiarity with their single "Last one standing". The single reached the eighth place in the UK Singles Chart, and achieved the gold sales status in Australia. Despite the fact that the second single, "Girls on top", released the group's debut album globally: Australia, New Zealand, India and Japan. In England, the release was released.
