Duco


Duco was a commercial name assigned to a line of automotive lacquer products developed by the DuPont company in 1920. Under the Duco trademark, DuPont introduced the first line of fast drying multi-color lacquers made especially for the automotive industry. It is currently used by Nexa Autocolor, (former ICI Autocolor and now a division of PPG Industries based in Pittsburgh), as a trade name for automotive glazes in Asia. Other meanings

Duco is still used as a colloquialism for nitrocellulose lacquer in automotive paint.

Duco is the finish applied to acoustic guitars of the National String Instrument Corporation brand ca. 1930.

Coated Duco (Duco coated) is used in the plumbing industry to describe lacquered floor drains and other similar products.

Duco is also a cement brand for homes.

Duco was a glue used in minimodelismo in the 70's.
