N-sites

N-Sider is a website that provides news, history and opinion articles in relation to Nintendo Co., Ltd. and was founded in 2000. It is currently a media organization founded and managed by Cory Faller with more than 20 regular contributors. History

In 1999, Fran Mirabella III worked for the website "GameFusion's Dolphin Cove", which covered Nintendo's next generation console with the key name "Dolphin". In the spring of 1999, Fran began recruiting for "Project Snow," a key name for a Nintendo website, which was to be released as NFormer.com. This was the original incarnation of what is today N-Sider.com. Before NFormer was released in August 2000, Fran co-workers at GameFusion decided to retain the rights to the NFormer.com domain. As a result, Fran made the decision to independently register the domain name N-Sider.com and set up a new website.

Fran left N-Sider immediately after it was released and was hired by IGN Entertainment. N-Sider.com officially launched on August 21, 2000, on the eve of the Nintendo GameCube revelation as a Space World exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. Several members of the administration were hired and helped with coverage.

In April 2001, N-Sider artist Kevin Freitas left the site and was hired at Sandbox Studios in London, Ontario. (In December 2002, he was hired at Rockstar Games Canada, Missisauga, Ontario, Canada.)

IGN began its "Developer Profiles" section in January 2001, created by the N-Sider.com team. Developer profiles were written analytically at Japanese, European and US developer houses working on software for the GameCube - these profiles included Intelligent Systems, Rare and EAD (Entertainment, Analysis and Development). The group was again approached by IGN in early 2005, however this time with the offer to merge the N-Sider database completely with the site. The offer was rejected and instead N-Sider and IGN made an agreement in which N-Sider would contribute series of items to be shown in the GameCube section of IGN. Several objects were shared during this fellowship, but eventually dissolved due to concern within the body of the N-Sider team. Community

Although there was some confusion about the name of N-Sider and Nintendo's online NSider community, the two are different entities. N-Sider.com currently hosts a database of Nintendo games, hardware, and employees. (Websites in English). In addition to corporate information, N-Sider also hosts a community of discussion forums, available from forums.n-sider.com, known to be spam-free and maintain consistent discussions.
