Patrice Bart


Patrice Bart (* July 30, 1945, Paris, France) is a famous classical dancer, choreographer and French dance teacher.

He studied at the ballet school of the Paris Opera and integrated the stable ballet since 1959. In 1969 he won the gold medal in Moscow and was promoted to "etoile" in 1972. He worked with Maurice Bejart among others in ballet Bhakti

He retired from the stage in 1989 and performs choreographies for the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, La Scala, Munich and other companies. He has made new versions of classics such as Giselle, La Bayadere and Coppelia. He was knighted by the Legion of Honor. Jean Marie David made the documentary "Patrice Bart: Portrait d'un Seigneur de la Dance".
