Daniël François


Daniel François (Amsterdam, October 3, 1781 - The Hague, July 1, 1840) was a Dutch lawyer and mayor. biography

Daniel François was the son of the Walloon Reformed minister Joseph François, from an old French gender, and Margaretha Dorothea Marssenier. He studied law and was appointed in 1817 to Loosduinen's scholar. In 1825 this office was replaced by mayor of Loosduinen. In addition to mayor of Loosduinen, he was also a prosecutor at the Supreme Court and the Provincial Court in The Hague.

François married 30 June 1811 in Voorburg with Johanna Petronella of Steenbergen (1794-1870). The couple got two sons. He passed away at the age of 58. Trivia
