Gómez García de Albornoz


Micer Gómez García de Albornoz (m. 1380) was the seventh lord of Albornoz, and of Ascoli. Son of Alvar García de Albornoz, VI lord of Albornoz, and Teresa Rodríguez.

Biography

He was the chief steward of the king of Henry II, captain of the pontifical army in Italy, under whose command was his uncle Cardinal Gil de Albornoz. In addition it was captain of the armies of the queen Juana of Naples.

He died in 1380 in Italy and was buried in the convent of Santa Clara de Alcocer. Marriage and descent
