Hany Tamba is a Lebanese-British director.

His short film After Shave (2004) was the first film produced by a Lebanese filmmaker to be awarded the Césars, César 2006 for best short film. This film won the Attention Talent Fnac award of the International Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand in 2005 and several other awards (Jury Prize and Special Mention at Lille 2005, Cinécourts Prize at Cabourg 2005, Public Prize at Côté Court 2005) . The actors Rafic Ali Ahmad, Julia Kassar, Mahmoud Mabsout and Fady Reaidy are part of the cast.

Hany Tamba is also the author of the following short films: Beirut: The Barbers of this City (1997, documentary), Mabrouk Again (1998) and The Hair of the Beast (2002), all of whom have encountered success at many short film festivals around the world. His first feature film, A song in the head (Melodrama Habibi) with Patrick Chesnais in the leading role, was released in France and Belgium in 2008 and in Lebanon in 2009.
