Raúl Candiani

Raúl Candiani (born in Mexico City, July 25, 1932 - March 9, 2000) was a Mexican film producer and screenwriter.

He lived his childhood and part of his youth in the C.L.A.S.A studios, where his father, Gustavo, "Capi", Candiani, was a manager. He worked at Televicentro, as a cameraman, and his concern and circumstance led him to found in 1954, with family capital, one of the first companies producing commercials (spots) for film and television, "Candiani Films", which became a practical school of locution, acting, modeling and direction for many young Mexicans who, later, would have excelled in the national cinematographic medium. In addition, he produced up to 300 commercials per year and made some memorable documentaries, such as those dedicated to Agustín Lara and Manolete.
