Seolleongtang

Seolleongtang is a Korean soup made from the four paws of a beef. Usually, only salt and stalks are used to flavor the soup. Usually the cooking of the soup takes a couple of hours or even a whole day, to extract the taste from the bones. It has a milk-white color and is eaten with rice, which is added to the soup. Especially ggakdugi is a popular banchan of seolleungtang.

The soup is also considered a good remedy for a hangover and is often used by soju's lovers as a breakfast. History

At the time of the Jose Donald dynasty, in Korea, national sacrifices were often brought to the ancestors. These sacrifices were called Seonnongje and the altar used was called a Seonnongdan. King Seongjoong visited these offers and ate with the people. He commissioned the design of a meal that could be made with little resources, yet was enough for the ordinary people. The soup was first called seonnongtang, but the pronunciation changed later into the easy-to-read seolong tongue.
